Brunch at Arrival Hall
On a quiet part of Aberdeen Street you’ll find Arrival Hall, a homeware & furniture store and cafe. The whole place is amazing if you enjoy Scandinavian design, but even that’s not your cup of tea, anyone can enjoy the fantastic coffee and food served up in their cafe. They have a few small tables scattered throughout the store and a long table seating under glass ceiling which seems to be made available on busy days. Other times you’ll find this table filled with ceramics, house plants and range of other household items. The place is popular but we’ve always been able to get a seat without waiting. The atmosphere is usually quite calm and relaxing. A great place to catch up with a friend or just enjoy a coffee on your own.
The food menu is small and changes frequently (every few weeks it seems) so you’ll always find a selection of interesting, well executed dishes available. You can really tell how much thought and effect has gone in to designing each dish. Nothing is “just a garnish”. The cherry tomatoes served with the pork belly croissant are balsamic roasted and bursting with more flavour than I think anyone has ever got in to one tiny tomato. The crumbs on the plate around my chicken baguette were actually crispy chicken skin and dukkah which added great texture and added seasoning.
The service here is also fantastic. The staff are attentive and friendly. I really can’t fault this place at all. If you haven’t given Arrival Hall a visit yet, I really recommend trying it out.
