Hi.

Welcome to my blog!

Brunch at tbsp.

Brunch at tbsp.

I don't know if I could ever really pick a 'favourite' brunch spot, but if I had to narrow it down, tbsp. in Bayswater would definitely be near the top. Their menu always has plenty of unique dishes to try, changing things often enough to keep it interesting, but not so frequently that your favourites are constantly disappearing.

We first tried this menu the week before these shots were taken, but we had to go back again for this amazing pork ragu omelette.

This is easily the best omelette I can remember having. The ragu filling is full of flavour with a real hit of chilli. It's amazing, you have to try it. Hopefully this one stays on the menu long term.

Another thing that puts a brunch place ahead of the pack for me is a good variety of drink options. Don't get me wrong, good coffee is a must, but sometimes coffee isn't the best pairing for a meal, or I've hit my caffeine threshold for the week already. So having alternate options like this strawberry and basil iced tea, or iced matcha latte, is a huge plus for me.

Our second dish was a tbsp. classic, the Kimcheese Burger. It basically has everything a good burger needs: a brioche bun, perfectly cooked patties that really taste like beef, and plenty of cheese and sauce. And because it's on a brunch menu, it's totally ok to order it at 9am. What more could you want?

Last but not least, the service here has always been good. The staff manage the queue well (yes, there will often be queues on weekends, but they're short) and are friendly and accommodating. We've been here many times and never had a bad experience. Highly recommended.

P.S.

An honourable mention goes to the Pandan French Toast we had last week. Not as good as it's predecessor, the Honey Cereal French Toast, but still a great dish.
